Your full name, address, social security number, date of birth and your previous address if you have moved within the last two years.
Avoid scams when obtaining your annual credit report….
Never give out your personal information to scammers requesting it in exchange for a free credit report via e-mail or over the telephone. Under law, only consumers can initiate the process, not the credit reporting agencies or government agencies.
The Federal Trade Commision wants to hear from you if you paid for what you thought was your free annual credit report. Go to www.ftc.gov and click "File a Complaint" on the menu.
The Federal Trade Commision also wants you to forward any unsolicited e-mails you've received offering you a free annual credit report. Send them to spam@uce.gov
